I am thrilled to announce that the MILES Trial has been fully approved!!! What a thrill after all of the challenges ! We have been cleared of all regulatory issues and checking processes, so we are free to enroll. The principal investigators of the trial will test the systems with a few patients first to make sure that everything is in place and working well. I f you are interested in participating and have not registered on the site given to you in my last mailing – be sure to do so because we are ready to roll - finally!
I do know that your FEV1 score must be 70% or below to participate in this trial , but I don't have any of the other particulars or details about the sites, etc. P lease don't bombard me with lots of questions that I can' t answer – this email is going to over 600 people ! We will send a postcard soon to all LAM patients, but if you know of a LAM patient who does not have email, please share the good news. Thanks to all of you for helping us to get here - this is a day of celebration!
